having an iaaue with apparent intermittent fuel starvation problem. Starts easily, runs well slow or fast. I stop and fish for 30 to 45 minutes drifting . Start engine, accelerate and engine powers down and quits. It will restart but same thing happens. I have had fuel cleaned, no water or crap in fuel. Pick up tube clear, covered black tub and bulb with wet towel in case overheated fuel cause vapor lock. Any thoughts what to do next?

When it quits, is the primer bulb still reasonably firm? Is it located where you can have somebody pumping it while underway safely? If so, maybe have them try pumping while you are trying to duplicate the problem. I don't get to play with these bigger engines much, but if it were smaller that's where I would start.
