Hi Folks,

I recently got a Honda 2 horsepower outboard. I got it specifically to use on a square-stern canoe I picked up. It'll also be used for a "contingency plan" engine on my RichLine 14' project out on the Missouri River.

First step is to de-gunk the carburetor. I removed it and pulled off the float bowl and it's full of crud. That, of course, means I'll want to get some parts. But I'm having a hard time. Here's why:

It is a BF20 - 1004637. When I look for parts, I can't find the model designation "BF20". The pre-'97 section here on iBoats has BF2A... and BF2D... designations. Hopefully there's a simple answer here. But what do I need to do to find the correct parts for my BF20 engine?

Thanks!

The model of engine you have is a BF20F, is precedes the BF2A or BF2D designations. A Honda dealer should be able to look up and get you the parts you need.
