Gentleman,
I have a couple questions for my motor:
I need to obtain a thermostat for my Honda 15hp. Model number is: BF15A, Serial: BAAU-1000135
First off, what is the year of this motor? What is the best place (quick delivery) to order this? Always appreciate it...

Thanks!

It is a 1996 model i believe, that was sold new in September of 1998 in NY.

The quickest way to get a thermostat for that engine is to go down to your local marina and have them order a Sierra 18-3627. Its an aftermarket replacement and just about every marina in America has Sierra parts available to them and depending on the distributor most can get them the next day.

Your search is pretty accurate. My dad, most likely, purchased it as a used motor for his sailboat. Thank you for the make and part number. This helps a lot and appreciate you assistance...

Our T-stat has a very small indent that's hard to see in it that's supposed to be at 12 o clock.

We also have a rubber grommet around flange .

Thank you, I appreciate that. I should be receiving it pretty soon in the mail. I only have a couple sources to get it and no body carried it in stock. In some ways I don't like the way our world is changing...
