I just purchased a new Bay Stealth 2150 with a Honda 150 motor. I pick it up tomorrow. Am I going to be happy with this motor? I seem to be getting some mixed messages from various people on the Honda. Does anyone here have anything good to say about it or have I just screwed the pooch on this one? Thanks.

You might be a bit underpowered depending on the weight of the boat, but I thing you will be extremely happy with the motors performance and how good it runs.

Thanks Gary. It's my first boat so I have much to learn. It is a tunnel hull and I'm getting a jack plate. Will either of those things help the "underpowered" aspect?

What is the weight of the boat?

Things to do:
- get the spin-on type Racor fuel-water separator
- put some of that Johnson 2+4 fuel conditioner in case you're not going to use all the fuel quickly

I love my 2002 BF130, just need to take care that you're not putting garbage in it as they are expensive to have fixed if you gum-up the fuel lines/injectors.

I think the jack plate will help you to get engine at the right height. That makes a world of difference. You will have to expermenrt with that as you don't have the bottom of the hull to determine the proper height. Hopefully the person who sold you the boat was familiar with it and knows how to rig it.
Most of all the tri-hulls I've see are running twin engines.
