Honda 15 hp 4 stroke, cranks and runs but won't idle

It is a model BF15A, it will start on the first try every time at an advanced idle and run all day but, when you throttle it down it stalls. I have checked fuel lines for leaks, and cleaned out the carb to no avail. Anyone recognize this?

There is an idle adjustment screw on the side of the carb. Play with it until you can get it to idle. There is also a drain screw for the carb bowl might be some junk in the bottom of the bowl.

We have already pulled and rebuilt the carb, still no help. the previous owner wasn't very nice to the motor, although he did take it for scheduled maintenance he drove it like a tank. Is there any other possible cause of this type problem other than carb or fuel supply? I would hate to pay someone to rebuild this carb and still have the same problem.

Honda uses stepped jets and they are tough to get cleaned correctly...also pull out the emulsion tubes & clean and check them for cracks
