thank you for your reply you may save me swoping my beloved new honda for a 25 h.p tohatso if i can solve the prop problem. you seem to be the only one that know what they are talking about . the boat is in fact a polish made derek only 6 months old the engine was bought with the boat it is rated for a 40 h.p engine model is texas 440.well the engine is free reving all the way up to peak revs then the boat is on the plane but I would never run any engine at peak revs if I drop the revs a little the boat then drops of the plane. my dealer said honda props only go up to nine+1/4x11 my prop is nine +1x4x 10. 4 blade. i have hydrafoils fitted on the cavitation plates as I thought it may help.

Tom - a check of the Honda web site reveals that your dealer is correct. You may have the best Honda prop for your boat.

One thing to be sure of is that you are at 5,000 - 5,500 RPM's when running wide open - that is the recommended range for your engine... If not, then a change in pitch may be in order.

hi bob got rid of the honda now have a new 30 h.p tohatso the sea is a little stormy at the moment so wating to take it out. i am quite shure it will really go.have found a dealer for a tiny tack here in the u.k so i am quite happy with my little outfit thanks for your help tom tom
