Honda 15 blow-by? hose pops off

A hose (blow-by?) running from the engine block to the air intake builds up pressure and then pops off at the air intake end. The engine idles fine whether this hose is connected or not. The only thing I can think of is to pull the air intake assembly and see if it is clogged behind the hose connection port. Appreciate any input. Thanks

Problem solved. The tube vents crankcase emissions back into the air intake. It was 100% clogged inside the air intake channel which directs the air to the carb. This problem apparently is rare. Suggested solutions (other then buying a new throat) include drilling out the clogged channel, or simply leaving the hose disconnected under the cover (better engine efficiency!).

What year is your motor? I don't remember such a hose on my mid 90's 15hp. Has to be an EPA addition.
