Hi,can anyone help.went out to sea today in really rough conditions and my honda 130hp was working fine, when we came in running flat out she began to lose power as if it was running out of fuel as if something was blocked revviing up and down when flat out.there was plenty of fuel,it idled ok ,i tried it through the rev range and only started to play up at the top end of the range, could an injector be blocked or water in the fuel,i checked the water separator but was clean.please help.

Re: honda 130

It is difficult to understand from your post what your symptoms are. For starters, it kind of sounds like the motor is not getting fuel. Is the fuel line kinked in the splash well, primer bulb functioning or flat, anti-siphon valve sticking?

Re: honda 130

hi,spoke with my honda dealer he stated that if the revs are surging at the top end then the fuel filters are to blame,i have since changed all the filters and water separtor and thrashed the boat at sea for half an hour and this appears to have done the trick.all the filters appeared clear is there anything else it could be like a spark plug breaking down or an intermittent fault in either of the fuel pumps?

Re: honda 130

could be that when you were out in the rough conditions, gunk from the bottom of the tank got into the fuel lines.
