I have a 99' 130 on a 25 ft sea cat and I just got the craked block repaired about 3 months ago on the port engine and that engine only turns about 5000 rpms and the other engine turns about 5500 rpm but now the engine has a spark problem now. I changed the plugs and the bottom cylinder plug was fowled pretty bad. I changed the plug and it didnt change the the way it ran. I pulled the plug cap off and it still did not change the way it ran. Then I wiggled the plug wire and it then ran right. all this work is with ears on the foot. The next day I went and ran it. it still didnt run right it even ran worse until I played with the plug wire. common sense says it is the plug wire but I dont know if I can change just the wire or if I need to change the coil and plugs for number 3 and 4 clyinder help thanks

Re: honda 130 spark

If you have ruled out the possibliity of a failed injector,my advice would be to replace the coil unit as a whole.I'm not entirely sure you can do those boots and wires any other way as I' m not at work.I do'nt think you can.Anyways those boots can cause the symtoms you describe and with that in mind there is the possibility that damage to the ECM could occur.I'dd change the coil.
