Recently purchased 10hp honda powerthrust model with super long leg (29inch transom to plate) as motor for my 25 foot yacht. It vibrates like a one-bladed lawnmower!! Vibration sets up resonances in the plastic engine cowling and makes noise louder than my old 2-stroke. Vibes make it through the engine mounts and vibrate the whole yacht, loose objects like small tools move accross the cockpit floor from the vibration. Dealer insists 'they're all like that mate...'. I threatened legal proceedings and honda admitted the new model has no counter ballance shaft (to save weight) and sent softer mounts. I'm yet to try these new mounts but fear they will just mask the problem, isolate the vibration to the engine components and cause more problems later. Does anyone else have experiences with this problem. Yours, Shaking Andy
