I have a 10hp Honda outboard, model # 1203333. The motor starts easy enough on the first or second pull every time. It runs with the choke pulled about half way but not for long without me holding the throttle open at the carb. If I push in the choke it will run for a few seconds and then die. I have cleaned the carb thoroughly along with the fuel pump. The diaphram in the pump did not appear to have any tears and was not stiff or hard. It is getting clean gas with all new hose and the connectors cleaned too.

I also thought about timming but it is a CDI model and it runs smooth doesn't seem to missfire. It just doesn't want to run at a descent RPM.

Any ideas?

Mike
