honda 10 HP

I was given a honda 10 HP longshaft that has the upper engine not running, and I have the same Honda 10 HP short shaft that is like new and I would like to swap the short shaft with the long shaft, has anyone ever done this? Am I asking for problems?

Welcome to the forums,

If it's eaxactly same model and the difference are just the legs, assume faster should be to swap the short leg powerhead to the long shaft engine. Probably will need to replace lower pan gasket that will eventually break when removing crankcase from pan ?
