Homosassa Trip

This was the fishing trip from hell. Locals said it was the worst fishing in 10 years. We did not put even one fish in the livewell. Even hired a guide one day (not cheap). Tide was extremely low. We had 4 days of this. Seas to high to go out in the Gulf but, they weren't biting out there anyway from what we heard. We did have a few possitives tho. Only put one ding in my new prop, Coast Guard tried very hard to find something wrong with my boat but, couldn't, the place we stayed was great and I highly recommend it. The Last Resort on Halls River road. Very neat and well run. Oh yeah, I got to watch my $250.00 cell phone sink into the depths of the Homosassa River. Good thing this was a fishing trip or all this would have been hard to take..... lol Now I can't wait to go back. (seriously)

Sorry to hear you had a bad time with the fish, I cant beleive that you could not find some in battle creek or the little river but it goes like that some times. hopefully we can hook up some time when you are there again.
