As in this case Muskie treats..BubbaKat may remember this lure from Watts. A friend of mine who is an avid Musky hunter is always trying to build a better mouse trap as in this case.

Unusal because spinners when retrieved are on the up side with the snake as a trail below. I lost one at Watts when trying it for a critique study..

JB if you read this post I would like to send you one for you to try at LOTW next year and also to do your own critique..Let me know by email if you are interested. Neaumans will get to try one out next year when we hookup.

I know a few of you folks are hunter as myself but only have a couple of demos to pass around or I would send you one..

Re: Home Made Lures

Looks like a lotta flash motion and commotion, should work well on agressive fish, as well as trigger strike from not so active beasts.

Look pretty good to me, Gonfishn.

I also make most of my own spinners for musky. In-line spinners based on #5 Mepps Aglia. I call mine "Esox Doom". I'll post a pic eventually.

Trade you. One of yours for one of mine. Deal?

Re: Home Made Lures

good looking earings, er, I mean lures! They should trigger some strikes! Do they travel straight, or do a lot of spinning? I do a lot of trolling for gators and spinning lures drive me nuts - hate twisted line.

Re: Home Made Lures

JB you got mail..Aspeck..I use a heavy steel leader when trolling or casting. So rewraps are next to nil. That lure you see is pretty hefty and the spinner runs on top with snake trailing below..

Its a flashy lure which which I hope the larger gators will look upon with approval.. My greatest pleasure is when Neaumanns catches a 40 plus warrior when we hook up next year. He probably has a 100 or so casts under his belt now...another 400 hundred or more and the warrior will look upon him with approval.. :D

I use a heavy leader also, but with a lot of spinners I will get line twist when trolling (most of my gator hunting is the trolling variety).
