what is the name of part and size /dimensions of the sleve/washer the bearing seals go over.its already part of the axle, but not on mine, round straight axle , the bearings are less than one inch, i believe. contemplating buying a new axle ,but if i can get this one to seal properly i will be a happy camper. ghetto axle works fine except it let water from the inside seal.

its a 15 ft trailer holds a 1,000lb boat, so relatively small trailer, i beleive it would be an inner sleve,just dont know how to get such a part, or what size dimensions

I'm not sure what part you are refering to but it seems that the problem is with the surface the seal lip runs on.<br /><br />repairing that surface is sometimes done with a stainless steel sleeve that goes over the groove worn in the spindle.<br /><br />see this web site and see if it will help. the parts should be available at most auto or industrial suppliers.<br /><br /> http://www2.chicago-rawhide.com/speedi_sleeves.htm <br /><br />Hope this helps
