When I finally get my boat off this Holsclaw trailer for painting I'm might replace these rollers. They are obviously old and have been painted over. It is a 1970 model in very good condition for its age IMO. Is this type of roller available now?

They must have 10 different kinds at West Marine or any other marine store. Just find something close if you plan on replacing all of them. It may be cheaper to put bunks on the trailer instead as you may find replacing all of the rollers will add up to quite a bit more than carpeted bunks.

Look on the web at eastern marine. They have all kinds of roller bunks and parts at half the price of West Marine.
West Marine is so over priced,i refuse to buy from them..

I haven't even seen anything close to these "button" style rollers, or whatever they're called. There are 36 of these rollers under the hull. The keel rollers I can match up.

I thought about stripping the paint off with a water-based chemical stripper and applying something to soften the rubber. Armor-all or a similar product that will put moisture back into them?

I would go with the new yellow roller bunks at Eastern, non marking.
Nothing much you can do to those old black rollers to bring them back to life.

Re: Holsclaw trailer rollers

You will search forever trying to find those, I've been looking for a few years now for one I have. I ended up making up two new roller bunks for mine using a more common roller size, What I did was to mount Load Rite roller arms on two pieces of channel and used modern wobble rollers. I went with 2x3 tubing on mine to lower the hight a bit. It worked out great. I believe Stoltz used to make those rollers, but they've been gone for a long time. I also have trouble finding other older rollers. I usually just adapt the older trailers to use newer rollers.
