Holley balls, halls, ****bag, and a few other names from time to time. It's been hours and I already miss you terribly. Born about 14 years ago. I buried her today. I dug her hole a few weeks ago, 5 feet down. I played the waiting game. I work for myself so I can afford to take the time off. I have not worked in weeks, just hanging around the house, waiting for the "look" that I did not get untill yesterday. Funny thing about goldens.... they truely are puppys untill the very end.
I want to thank the Pepperell Veteninary hospital. This is were I have always taken Halls to. These folks are pro's. They have always been 100% honest with me. On top of that they are the most compassionate people you can find in this world. These folks are old school, old town, and all about familys.

A few years ago Dr. Bradbury Smith came to my house to put down Mischa, my lab/retriever mix. It was a while ago and can't really recall the specifics.
Dr. Smith also came to my home again today. I let him in to the front hallway where Holley was laying. He had her file and we talked for a few minutes about her health. He compassionatly reassured me of my decision. He shaved her back leg, we talked for another minute, then he put the needle in. Holley passed peacefully in my hands. Dr. Bradbury packed his things with a tear in his own eye but without saying a word and left. A true human. And I can't thank him enough. I'm irrevocably sad for my Holley. If your in Mass please see the Pepperall vets. I could kill a man with my bare hands if I had to, but this sucks..
