Holley Carb number? Kit Number? And advice?

Looking for a rebuild kit number and any other info on the carb for my 1975 302ci OMC. The numbers on the carb are: Motorcraft D1JJ-9510-B1 LIST-6317-1 381.

I have issues with getting the motor running. When I pour a little fuel into the carb the motor fires until all the fuel burns off then stalls. I played around with it enough to get the motor running but couldn't get it to idle enough to put it into gear. The boat has been sitting for over a year and I've added new fuel as there was very little fuel in the tank. Once again the carb seems to get plenty of fuel from the fuel pump but doesn't seem to get into the throat of the carb. No matter how much I pump the throttle the carb will not flood or show signs of fuel entering the throat. I believe that the float bowl is full of fuel. ???????

Could it be the Power Valve from a previous back fire? I have the carb apart and now need a rebuild kit which will hopefully rectify the problem. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see that list number, but usually 302 carbs are 450 cfm. Holleys. They chronically leak fuel from the float bowl when sitting. Ford often put their name on Holley carbs.

A blown power valve slobbers fuel, not run lean.

If the accelerator pump isn't working, you'll never get enough fuel to cold start.

Any GOOD parts house or speed shop can supply a rebuild kit. Also get the good BLUE bowl gaskets separately.

The carb needs to be completely disassembled and dunk cleaned in carb cleaner.

Yes it is a 2bbl, I think that it would be a Holley 2300 just based on the design.

The carb is now apart and I've blown carb cleaner through all the passages.

Is there a way to test the Accelerator pump or should I just replace it????
Do I take it apart and check the diaphragm or just pump it manually????
The linkage around the Accelerator pump seems a little goofy, how much stroke on the pump should there be????????
There are two idle screws, one on each side of the carb. What is a good starting point on these screws??????

That's essentially the front half of a 4 bbl. The rebuild kit will have a pump diaphragm. There's a check ball that prevents the pump from pumping backwards.

All the adjustment specs are in the rebuild kit.
