I had to post this about a day on a popular ramp a few years ago. Memorial day weekend I was camping with some friends and decide rather than go to one of the ramps farther down the lake we will just use the one near the campground against my better judgement! After a day of swimming we get back to the ramp and I see a SUV of some sort (front wheel drive) attempting to pull out a boat which was considerably larger than the tow vehicle. In the mean time they are frying off the tires and the line at the ramp is piling up. I hop out of the boat and head over and asked if they need a tow. I saw another vehicle being towed up the ramp when I put my boat in! SOOOO I pull up nose first to the SUV hook a tow chain to my tow hook (not to my trailer like the previous tower) and pull them up the ramp. This gets better..... I go get in line behind about three other vehicles and see a group launching a pontoon boat. Everything goes well until they go to pull the truck and trailer out and realize they dropped on of the rear tires of the truck over the curb. Soooooo i pull around hook up to them and get them out. Ya know something i never get to see these things when the water temp is about 58!!!! Hopefully I can avoid any serious SHTWB/F aside from the usual minor ones like transom straps!!!
