Mercruiser 1983 120 hp alpha 1 outdrive
I just noticed a 1/8" hole in the upper drive case located above the freeze plug on the side of the drive. Approx 1 1/2" from center of freeze plug. It is not a corrosion hole. I looks drilled. What purpose is this hole and should it be there? It goes through the case and bottoms out 3/4". This is not the original drive for this boat.. Thanks
