hole in block

i pulled my johnson 9.9hp 81 apart after finding water in both cylinders the motor still runs fine although i need to fill this hole its on the block just inside of the exhaust cover "inner and outer covers removed" than the hole can be seen on the side of the block how can i fix it will JB weld do the job?

You really should have a welder do that. It should not cost much.

That's gotto be a salt motor, I agree with ezeke, a tig welder will fix you right up, concern will be more holes in the future!

took it to a welder today he said the hole will grow and wont touch it so im going to stick a stainless steel bolt on the hole with a nut and some JB weld to seal it and thread lock
