Re: Hockey Playoffs
Well for the most part the playoffs thus far have been fantastic. I'm still rooting for my hometown teams but fear that once again the deadly t**p, hockey fans you should know that 4 letter word, will once again eliminate them. Not that I blame the Oilers for employing it, it is the smart thing to do. I fear however that if they, Edmonton, go far into the playoffs the league is just going to spiral downwards for the average fan. As this strategy will become more and more used. In my opinion they haven't resorted to clutching and grabbing so nothing they've done is cheap and the refs aren't to blame but the lack of quality scoring chances makes the games rather dull for the average watcher. Personally I like 1-0 games, especially in the playoffs, and when the chances are further apart it makes them all the more meaningful.

Barring hometown pride, I really think the Sabres and Stars have great shots at playing for the cup. But don't count the Sens out just yet, having watched Hasek win a cup here I'll tell you he is and has been, ever since he left Buffalo, succesful because of his team, and Ottawa still has a very strong team that can score and play defense with just about anyone.

Go Wings!!!
