hitch mounted bike racks

Any suggestions for hitch mounted bike racks?

I've only had thule mounted car tops before, but that was before kids (3, 5, 7 yrs old).

The current tow vehicle has a 2" receiver and I'd like to get a hitch mounted rack for when we are not boating. It is getting difficult to shove all the bikes inside the vehicle with the 5 of us.

Check out your local U-Haul store. They put on my trailer hitch and they also had hitch mounted bike racks too.

I bought a 4 bike model. They will will usually give you 10-20% off if you just ask them too.

The brand of it (3 years ago) was Sportrack. It's really well made and a solid piece of equipment. I would tend to bet it's even better built than Thule.

Check out the Performance brand "XPORT" racks here >> www.performancebike.com

They are Thule quality racks for a lot less money. They have several hitch mount styles to choose from.

We had a pretty decent one a few years ago from Target. It held 4 bikes and I think it was under $100. Just slid in the receiver and push in a pin.
