Last fall I was driving my boat and I hit an obstacle with my boat motor (1987 Mercury 35 hp outboard). The motor continued to run but there was not any movement. I assumed I had broken a shear pin. Recently I took the prop off to make the repair but did not find a shear pin. When I put the motor in gear, not running, and turn the shaft by hand it clicks into gear and I can not turn the shaft. Attached is a picture of what I found inside the prop.

What is the problem?

I see Bond O solved your problem already. But look on the bright side, you probably didn't mess anything else up internally. I'd be very happen fixing a sheared prop hub to what could have happened internally...
