I had to tell this story (relayed to me by my friend).

My friend, lets call him Jon (hey that's his real name) was out fishing with his wife (who is a traige nurse) in his 14ft aluminum with a 25hp Merc. in the flats off of Tarpon Springs Fl. they had been sitting so he dropped the anchor.

When they were ready to leave he put the anchor on the transom plate (corner of the boat) and forgot it was there, when he came up on a plane the anchor must have fallen overboard and hit the wake just right to fling it back into the boat and hit him on the head (good thing he was wearing a hat).

His wife could only say "How did that happen?" to which he replied "Never !#&$^@ mind how it happended am I bleeding!?"

Fortunately he was not seriously hurt, just a little bump. His boat has been and is stilled called "Turrets Syndrome".

Safe boating to all.

Cheers.

emp.
