Guys,
This was the original posting 2 mos ago......

Need some help, I was going about 5-8mph down the river and I hit a rock with the prop. The engine immediately shut off and would not start back up. (I still have battery and there is plenty of fuel) When I turn the key the starter works but the engine will not start. any ideas? Engine is a 30 hp 4 stroke Suzuki.
The replies I got were to check that the crankshaft just under the timing belt sprocket wasn't broken, and that the flywheel key wasn't sheared. Both suggestions were checked and no problems were found. Any other ideas?

this aint hard at all.
think about it.
move the flywheel to TDC and compare the marks for the crank and cam with the manual.
if they are still ok, check spark
