Calling all the Minnesotans!! - We're looking at possibly taking a trip up that way to visit some friends. I'm wondering if y'all know of any historic places that would be cool to take the kids to. We're all kinda' history buffs in my family and I don't know much of what's around Minnesota. If there's anything Great Lakes Shipping related, I would LOVE to go see it - I'm into the big lake boats. We're trying to find a place to stay within 2 hours of Minneapolis, but we're open to anything.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Southkogs,

Try www.tripadvisor.com go to the forums and you'll find great suggestions from people who live there and have visited.

I'm with you on the Great Lakes History. On the Sailnet forum there was a topic of favorite books and I picked up a few of them and they've been great reads, all. One called the Living Great Lakes by an author last name Dennis was very enjoyable.
Hope you have a good one,

Hollie
