HIN & MIC

I have a 1988 Northwood N652 aluminum console fishing boat with an Evinrude 25hp. The HIN begins with GBP which according to MIC - Manufacturer Identification Code - equates to Gibson Boats in Portland. I know about the Northwood pedigree - Sylvan, Smoker Craft, Starcraft. What is puzzling is the Gibson connection with the HIN. Any body know anything about Northwood HINs?
