HIN Decoder

Hey guys, I have been trying to find a site to decode my HIN no luck / had some other stuff to do this morning . So I thought I would post the question here and see what comes of it. I have a 1985 Four Winns Liberator HIN is 4WNMB039KC85 I am trying to find out what everything means are the HINs like a car VIN?

4WN = Four Winns.

Not sure what NB means, 039 is your hull # although its usually a 5 charactor sequence. NB039 is probably your actual hull # from the factory.

The 9th letter denotes the month of completion, with yours being K it means it was completed Nov 85. (85 =1985) The model year usually runs from Aug 1 to July 31 of the following year.

The tenth character is usually the last digit of the year when the boat was certified or built, but yours is a letter C so its probably another year code.

Is there a way to find out what motor it originally had from the HIN?
