Friday Night was High School Graduation for the last two of my children. My son graduated on time and My daughter graduated a year early. She has been accepted to the University of Washington. This was a happy and a sad time all at the same time for me and the Admiral. It was sad in respect that not all the grandparents were able to attend and the fact that both children are not kids anymore, it was a joyous time simply because both graduated.

Most High School Students have no clue what they intend to do upon graduation, yet they manage to find themselves fairly quickly. My hope is that mine will find their calling in life and be hugely successful in all their endeavors.

I hope that all the IBoats members children graduating this year have a successful career (Education and or work) in their future.

Best Wished to all Graduates.

Congrats to your son and daughter. My step daughter just graduated a few weeks ago. We still have 3 more kids to go. I hope your children find a career they enjoy and make the most of it.

My first is graduating this week. I've two more coming along behind. It's been very interesting to watch that process of growing up, them seeing a world and trying to understand how they fit into it. Congrats to your kids guys.

My daughter graduated last weekend. One and done, we only have one kid. I can tell ryou right now, I'm not liking it...... It must be a little easier for parents with multiple kids. Less shock to the system....... She's off to college this fall. Thankfully, only 1hr away.....

My youngest son graduates today. Have a range of emotions. Not real sad or anything, but definitely all three are men now. Hmmmm.

Life tends to run at near red-line speeds. Sure makes you realize how much you need to cherish every moment. Fortunately, I feel we've done pretty well in terms of making sure we don't miss opportunities with our kids.

My oldest graduates tomorrow. He will be attending The Citadel in the fall. He has grown into a fine young man and we couldn't be more proud. I hope my girls can follow in his footsteps. Congratulations Class of 2014!

Things seem to have changed dramatically since I graduated...My niece just graduated and she's never had a job and doesn't even have a license to drive. In my family as a kid, you got 18 years and zero more days to live at home no matter what. If your 18th birthday came during your senior high year, then you lived on the street or wherever you could find. There was no fanfare for graduating because if you didn't graduate then there'd be a problem. I can't help but notice the 18 year olds at the multiple graduations I've been to this year don't seem ready.

My #3 graduated on Sunday and we had his party last night. It was the most beautiful evening and everything went perfect. We have been working our butts off getting the place ready. The late spring really limited our time. I now have one left - a four year gap before all of them are graduated.

It is weird when the house quiets down - I have a girl and three boys - it gets noisy. Now it is pretty quiet.

I have three - put all of them thru college. Wife and I look at each other and ask, "Are we bad parents?" We LIKE having our lives back and enjoy the quiet.

One thing I enjoy is that dinner out is now a lot less money. When You have 4 kids all out of the kiddie menu, it can get expensive fast. Particularly when the boyfriend comes along. My daughter just turned 21 and I had to lay down the rules about who's buying. First one is on me, after that you are on your own.
