I have a 93 200hp Yamaha and if I turn on any switch with the engine on or off like for the bilges, lites, electronics etc. I can hear a high pitched buzz from the engine alarm, it's barely audibal but annoying as hell, it never did this before any ideas on what causes it and how to fix it. I can still hear it AAAHHHH.

A bad ground might cause that. Trace all grounds from the controls and guages area back to the motor, and battery.

You might try making it sound off as you explain then take a piece of wire from the battery negative and probe the control head and any other suspected area. When the sound goes away you have found the ground.

If that aint it......... you just stood on your head, double jointed, and acomplished nothing but a good workout.

I would have to agree with Yepblaze. Either a poor ground or short of some sort in the wiring . Look over all your connections and wiring. I can only imagine being annoyed by the sound and your thinking the motor might be getting hot. :D

Thnx fellas I'll try that tomorrow eve. The buzzer dosen't sound off like it was overheating or out of oil it's a real faint buzz like a dog whistle, the old fingernail on the chalk board cringe. I can STILL hear it
