High altitude performance adjustments?

I have a Tohatsu M50D pushing a 15' Calibogie I use for recreational waterskiing. Once a year, its up to a lake at @ 5000' for a week. It still pulls me up, but I wonder if I can't get a tad better top-end out of it.

There is nothing in the owners manual about operation at higher altitude. Does anyone know if the carb can (or should) be re-jetted or adjusted somehow for optimum performance at that altitude?

Anything else I can do to get a bit more bang out of it?

Thank you to all!

High altitude jets are available and you need to drop down in pitch too.

Thank You TOHATSU GURU

I assume I can get the jets at an authorized Tohatsu dealer/servicer.

As for the prop, I understand decreased pitch is going to give me better RPM, but won't it also give me lower speed? I'm not sure, but my recollection from last year is that I'm not too far below max RPM at the lake, which leads me to wonder if the prop isn't already optimized for the lake.

Thank you!

Yes and yes. Your fighting lower air pressure so you have to give up some performance.
