Hey, welcome to the forum!
I recognize you from the other forum. It's torture waiting for the order. Torture. You'll be on the lake before you know it. Then you have to face the torture of working on the perfect days while your boat sits in the driveway ready to go. It puts a whole new level of joy in the weekends.

Well I'm retired so at least I don't have to depend on just the weekends! I'm going to keep my boat at a marina on the Illinois river, 40 minutes from my house for easy and quick access.
I purchased a lift so it won't actually set in the water when it's not in use.

A couple friends and I rode motorcycles over to the Illinois River to Starved Rock for lunch two summers ago. That's nice country out there. Having the boat on a lift will be ideal. Whenever you get the urge, you're ready to go. Someday when I can afford it, I'd like to rent a lift at our marina for the same reason. I'll have to trailer it for now. Our usual lake is 10 minutes from our house, so it's not too bad. We're looking forward to taking day trips and exploring other Iowa lakes this summer. First two on the list are Rathbun and Red Rock.

Not yet, we don't take delivery until June 15th. as soon as we have it, I'll post pictures.

Awesome, another new Glastron owner along with JT and myself.

I called my dealer earlier this week and I was told they were on schedule to have it completed the week of April 26th, and should expect it to be delivered first or second week in May. I would be called back by them once they got Glastron confirmation of building completion and shipping date so I could schedule my trial dates with the marina.

I'm soo excited and it'll be just in time for my 24th birthday on May 21st! )

Dealer said to expect it the first or second week in May. Prolly will take delivery after mothers day weekend. Opened up camp last weekend, and unfortunately I may not be boating very much this year...

Water is at the October level when I go duck hunting. Its 2.5-3' low right now. Its normally really high and where I was standing the water should have been at my knees. I was on exposed stone.

Hopefully you have access to another ramp that can get you in the water. Have you considered a rain dance?

ha ha... rain dance no. I have several other options for the summer, don't always have to keep the boat at camp which I won't this summer. When I do I am going to Anchor it out in front a bit off shore with 2 anchors and then a long tie off line.
