Hi, Mogwai.

Welcome to iboats. :)

If you haven't changed the impeller in the last 2 years, change it now.

You symptoms sound like a failing impeller.

Good luck. :)

The reason it exhausts water while cruising is that water is being forced into the engine by the forward motion of the boat. At idle, no motion therefore no water=bad impeller or water pump assy.

Re: Hi all need help with my motor

Hello Mogwai. I believe Iboats ships international. Here is link to the seloc manual I hear it is one of the better ones out there. Place motor in neutral, remove motor covers (six screws), remove threee of the four bolts holding the lower unit on. Loosen the fourth one so only a couple of threads are holding it on. you may want to pile stuff on ground to prop skeg against while doing this. Now look where you removed the motor covers behind the transom of the boat. You will see a nut that is about 1 1/2 inches long. This is the interconnect and adjustment for the shiftlinkage. One side has reverse threads. Keep turning it till one end comes off. I usually turn it so it goes down and stays with the lower unit when removing. You will see water pump sitting on the drive shaft with either three or four screws holding it in. Remove those screws and there is the impeller. When replacing it put impeller on driveshaft with impeller key installed, Lube inside edges of water pump with lower unit oil and while pushing it down on impeller turn drive shaft clockwise slowly. replace impeller screws with removavable locktight, put anti sieze compound on splines that go to the powerhead, make sure that water tube goes into grommet up by powerhead. IF unit will not go up toatally you may have to turn the flywheel a bit clockwise so splines line up. The hardest part is getting the shift linkage adjusted. Adjust so when in neutral you can spin prop in both directions without any clicking verify forward and reverse work by turning flywheel clockwise and see that prop changes directions.

JB is right you need a manual. Please use the link provided on top. If you need an impeller Iboats sells them as well that way if you order a manual here you only pay shipping once.

Good Luck
