Was working on the 85 Bayliner Capri 1600 Cuddy today. Cut the deck flush to the stringers to make a recessed deck to get some extra headroom in the hard top. This is what the stringers between the seats look like, in fact, its what the stringers look like as far as I can see up the bilge to the cuddy bulkhead.

This photo shows the often pink colored resin Bayliner used, and the white gel coat spray from gel coating the bottom of the bilge, and the 5/8" ply, and a thin gel coat on top, then the carpet.

This is a 24 year old Bayliner that was well cared for. I can't imagine the neglect that it takes to get rotten decks, stringers and transom in a boat built this well. I'm sure there were probably some poorly built Bayliners, but apparently, there are some very well make ones too.
