First buck of the season

My neighbor actually ran this over with his 4 wheeler about 50' from my back door. The little guy was shaken (but not stirred ) and after we examined him we let him scamper off.

Had a pair of those in my front yard this AM, Bob. Had that happen a few years back and a year later there were two young forkhorn bucks sparring in my yard.

I just can't shoot deer that grew up so close and in view so regularly.

Haven't done that yet in VT. Used to come close to running them down when I was back in NY, out riding the trails on my quad.

Cute at that age, and quite tasty I would imagine, but I'll let them get bigger. Still tasty, just more lbs of tasty.
