Can you please answer tis question for me?<br /><br />posted February 25, 2002 07:11 <br /><br />I have a 93 250 Yamaha that I am putting on my boat. I bought all of the controls and rigging from a 99 or 2000 Yamaha. Some of the engine plugs on the harness are not the same. Are there adaptors for this or do I need different harnesses? <br />Thanks

SALTY DOG, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF CONTROL BOX YOU HAVE ? IS IT SIDE MOUNT,BINNACLE,OR CONCEALED MOUNT? THEY DID MAKE SOME ADAPTERS BUT I NEED INFO TO TELL YOU WAHT YOU NEED?

I have a 704 binnacle which fits the harness fine. Its the other side of the harness that doesn't fit the engine. The man plug on the harness fits but not the others or the oil tank. I was told they make adaptors but they might be for the old style engine and harness to the new style controls and guages.<br /><br />Thanks for the reply

SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET BACK TO YOU.I HAVE BEEN KINDA BUSY.THE ADAPTER KIT YOU NEED IS YAMAHA PART# 61A-ADPKT-93-94.I WOULD SUGGEST GOING TO A LOCAL YAMAHA DEALER TO BUY IT AND HAVE THEM CONFIRM THE KIT # BEFORE YOU ORDER IT.IF NOT I CAN GET IT FOR YOU BUT I WOULD RATHER YOU GIVE ME A CALL FIRST SO I CAN CONFIRM SOME THINGS ABOUT YOUR MOTOR AND CONTROLS BEFORE WE GET IT .COST OF THE KIT IS AROUND $90.00.MY # IS 850-229-6330 AND ASK FOR PHILLIP . GOOD LUCK.<br />OH YEA IF YOU GO LOCAL TO GET IT TELL THEM THEY CAN FIND THIS INFO ON THE 1994 RIGGING GUIDE MICROFICHE ACCORDING TO YAMAHA THAT IS THE ONLY PLACE TO FIND IT.
