93 Riverrunner 200, Redline 302 with a Berkeley jet, 360 or so hours on it, 2 integral tanks below the decking. There are 2 fuel tank vents at the left upper corner, aft side of the transom with 2 vent hoses running under the left gunwale, fill caps are midships on the left gunwale. I started getting a gas odor inside the enclosed canvas cabin after it sits a few days or after towing with everything closed up. It’s not noticable with airflow through the cabin via open side & aft curtain sections or with the center windshield panel opened. No unusual gas odor in the engine bay when I lift the doghouse or at the blower vent when I run the blower and I’m not seeing any leakage from the lines to the engine. There’s minor fuel staining at the outboard vent on the transom; but that’s been there since I bought the boat 2 years ago. Pulled the aft deck boards right after I bought it to replace them and all the void foam, and I did a fairly extensive inspection underneath it all then for corrosion, deteriorated hoses and wiring. I’m an aircraft mechanic by trade; the systems aren’t foreign, I’m just not sure where all the hoses run or where the fittings are located.

Can’t find a fuel system schematic (or any system info, for that matter) anywhere online. This is a recent problem, noticed it just this last time out. I suspect I have a partially plugged vent or a dodgy gage sender gasket. Any ideas or direction to a manual of some type is really appreciated.. Thanks!

Hewescraft Owners Club on Facebook is where I would start as it's boat specific. Gas smell is not good , think vapors and a stray spark ,,,boom !

That’s my concern…don’t want to go out with that style bang. I’ll see if I can get anywhere on that forum, thanks.
