Took the Wellcraft out Sunday morning. Started hard, but got it running. Ran great, moved a few times trying to find fish, still ran great. Came into the dock to pick up the wife and it would fire right up and run a minute or two and stall. It has the AQ260A in it, carb has been gone through, fuel filter is good. Pulled the water separator filter and am changing it too, but I think the fuel pump might be shot. Any suggestions?

carb filters at the inlet?
bad fuel - pour contents of water separator into clear container and observe
did you check for spark (ignition)?

if it fires right back up, that would indicate that there is fuel in the carb. could be a pluged carb.

I hope you check the contents for water, or you won't have any idea if that was your problem or not.

Do you have spark?

Yes, have spark. it will start and run in idle for awhile, sometimes keep running. I'll do the water in fuel check tonight.

Re: Here we go again

if it starts and runs, however stumbles. sounds like a fuel quality issue, or carp in the idle circuits on the carb
