I have a 1976 75HP Evinrude Stinger. Runs good on hose Bogs down in lake. The things I have done are compression test, took to shop had carbs rebuilt, new fuel filter, new plugs, new thermostate and new water pump. I pulled each plug checked for spark. All 3 cylinders fired. When running hit choke and motor dies. So its not starving for gas. Could it be the power pack? Any suggestions?

Is the timer base advancing when you hit the throttle ??
