My friend has a 2001 70 evinrude 4 stroke. Water is getting in the oil any ideas where it could be coming from?

How much water A stuck t-stat will make engine run to cold and crankcase will condensate "milking" up oil.....

Like filling up with water fast enough where i can't go out on it.

Have you checked the compression on the motor?

I should say if you run it for and hour and it moves up the dip stick noticable.

Sounds like powerhead mounting gasket failed, the parts are the same as a Suzuki DF70 if dealer dont have them

Is that the gasket where the motor hooks up to the leg? is it a big job? I thought it had to be a bad gasket somewhere.

jest did a compression test both are at 120psi.
