I'm in the middle of rebuilding my carbs and need to know what the float height setting should be. The Clymer guide has a different, single float example and no other specs. My carbs have two floats.

It's a '88 ProV150 V6

Anyone have the specs, or have an idea how to get a good setting by eyeball, or whatever?

Thanks!

Re: HELP, Yammy carb, what float height?

Acording to my book, which does 84 to 89 it says to:
Attach the needle valve to float hinge, Then install float assembly in the float bowl with the hinge pin and tighten the set screw securely.

Caution!!
Be sure to remove the inlet needle from the float before bending the float adjustment tang when adjustment is requried.

Invert the carburetor and measure the float height from the Carb. casting. It should be 0.50 in. If it is not, remove the float and check the needle valve seat for proper installation. If the seat is properly installed, remove needle valve and valve clip, then bend the hinged tang on the float as requiared to position the float properly.

I hope that helps. Good Luck
