Hello,

As my water separator project continues, I have a few more questions. First after talking to Johnson (or whoever owns them), they told me that my 10 micron filter was to restrictive for a carbureted motor. They gave me a part number for an OEM one that?s 25 micron. I finally got it installed, and ran all new fuel lines (5/16). My questions are first, has anyone heard of that 10 micron restriction? And when sitting at idle I have just under 3 hg of vacuum, when I go to WOT it jumps to 4 hg but falls right back to 3 again. I know the specs call for no more then 4 hg but I?m right at the max during acceleration, is that normal? My fuel lines are as short as possible (about 8 feet TOTAL) and the pick up tube is fine, I do have a good anti-siphon valve. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

Re: help with water separator

with the increase in the pulse of the fuel pump, the pressure is going to go up, the motor requires more fuel faster. are you having running problems. i think you are over thinking the situation.
