I posted this same request on a different forum with no results. Hopefully I will do better here.
I am considering installing the QL300 Trim Tabs by Volvo. Does anyone here have any information that can help me decide if that's the way I want to go.
Before we get involved in discussion as to whether I should go with a different brand/type, let me say that I only have 12" of transom space and less than 4" from the engine to the transom. No other option is viable.
My boat is a 2008 SeaCat 226DC with twin Suzuki DF140's. I am having trouble with porpoising and unable to get the bow down at cruise and above when the sea's are calm. When it's rough the boat rides smooth as silk. I figure the air is being trapped and only finds release when the water is churned up. The engine is trimmed all the way in, and I am trying fins at this time to no good effect.
Tried doing a search but I could not locate any past information.
