I am new at this and a one time boat owner. I had decided to sell my boat after many years of fun! I have checked many listings for comparable boats to get an idea of what my boat is worth and want to be sure I put a fair price on the boat while not scalping myself.

I am open to any and all comments on this topic and appreciate the help. I own a 1992 Bayliner Capri 17' Open Bow power boat. The boat is immaculate. I cannot stress that enough. It has well less than 100 hours on it. I live in the Western New York area and have found prices all over the place on the net causing the confusion. I have seen anywhere from $3,000 to $9,000 for this boat. Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated.

I also will be including with it the wooden paddle, anchor, safety vests, etc. Also a Big Bertha tube and tow rope, never used.

I'd like to get it on the lawn for this Memorial day weekend. Thanks in advance!

Angelica is not exactly next door to any lakes(not counting Cuba lake) and the Southern tier is a bit depressed. You would probably do better if you make a consignment sale in Jamestown,Buffalo,or better Rochester.
Even though boating season is starting,I have never seen that many boats up for sale and that does lower the price.

Welcome to iboats.

Ebay, Craigslist, your local paper, Nadaguides.com are all places to do your homework.

Once you have decided you can list it here on iboats.com where they have boating classifieds, craigslist..... front lawn.

Alot of the money you get will depend on condition and what powers it.

Good luck.

Sadly that's going to work against you. Forces are no longer made or well supported with parts. Knowledgeable buyers will avoid them. Plus that sounds fairly underpowered for a 17' boat. I think 3-4k is the best you can expect and that is assuming everything is immaculate (which it sounds like it is). Even so, I personally wouldn't be interested in it due to the motor.
