I have what I think is a 78 Mercury 110 9.8 hp. I have gotten conflicting answers however. The serial number is 5122731. That is the only marking on it. I have a pic of the carb on it and it says 1364-4929 and the blue part appear to say Toledo?

any insight would be great. I’m trying to find some parts for it and I want to be as accurate as possible. Paid $100 for it and it has compression and spark. Wanting to replace the impeller for it and change the gear lube. Only other known thing wrong with it is the kill switch wires have corroded and needs replaced.

thank you!

there are two possible water pump kits for the 7.5 and 9.8 motors. you need to pull the lower and measure the shaft before you order.

there is the 0.439" and the 0.456"

water pump kit will be one of those two and is the same from early 70's to 85.

78 should be first year of stainless shafts

Since you have the serial number, you can look the parts up online . . . I get P/N 47-89981 as the impeller.

Not sure is the wiring is still available, but you may be able to make your own . . .
