Hi everyone. I bought this used used head unit for $100 thinking I could buy the power cable and possibly transducer for an upgrade. The po plugged it into his boat and showed me that it worked good just no cables included for me. I did some research (obviously not enough) and ordered the power cable. I have an older sonar in my boat already so I thought why not just buy the power cable and use this newer one for the gps and speed which my older one does not have. Well I ordered the wrong cable so all it does is power up.
Before I go and buy the right power cable can anyone tell me if it will work for gps with just that? If I buy the proper power cable and transducer is that all I need to use all functions for this unit?

Here is what I have now. I bought a power cable for a newer hds unit I think? You can see the pins don't line up. Could I modify that cable at all? Options or suggestions? Thanks very much.
Jim

If you go to the Lowrance website you can down load the manual for your unit and find out for sure what you need to work.

Very good price yous got that for,...

Better yet.
Customer Service line at 1-800-628-4487.
Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. CST.
If it is powering up what makes you think you bought the wrong cable. The pins look right to me.

The pins don't line up. If you look at the unit it has two large pins side by side then a row of four small ones side by side and then a row of three with the middle one blank. the connector for the power cable I bought has small pin in the incorrect place. The correct cable from what I can tell has three cables coming out of it instead of two like mine and I would think all the pins would line up exactly. Was hoping I could switch the pins or hear from someone that has run into a similar situation.
Thanks

I should have bought that one. It is correct, a dual power cable, on e for the display and one for the gps module. Would you think that's all I need to use the gps? function?
