Help with new to me 1993 250

I just purchased a 1993 250 hp. The motor had even 118 compression on all cylinders and runs great. My question is that the oil injection was removed the sender dipstick has the float ziptied up as to not sound alarm but the tank is gone. I know everyone says to leave the oil injection but mine is already gone and dont have the extra money to buy all the parts and tanks. I would like to know if the correct ratio is 50:1 and if there is anything I should look out for since I am pre mixing. Thanks

Double check the original oil ratio first. I can't think of anything special to look out for except possibly the by-passed lines leaking. Other than that you shouldn't have a problem. A 50:1 is pretty standard.
