Help with my 9.9 Tohatsu - Handle link rod

I wanted to see if someone could help me with a handle link rod I need replaced (part is #11 in the picture and I think the part number is

350637170M) ​

. The part is no longer available and I was hoping to replace it with a similar piece but am needing the appx. length of the rod. Would anyone be able to measure the rod for me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Is your OB a M15B2, M15C or late M15D2 model ?

What happened with old rod installed there, is shot, missing ?

Sorry should have mentioned it’s a 9.9B2
the cap joint broke and I hate to admit I threw the rod away because I thought it was all one piece

If the missing L rod is plain on the shorter side, longer on the other side with threads to screw the black plastic cap joint there can use the actual D2 L rod which is available.
