Help with Lowrance In-Dash Depth Gauge Connection

I have a 1995 Four Winns that has a built in depth gauge on the dash that has never worked. I started looking under the dash and the connector from the transducer wire is not plugged in to the back of the gauge. The problem is the back of the gauge has a 6-pin male connection and the plug from the transducer cable has a 2-pin male connection. How are these two supposed to connect? I'm obviously missing something and have no idea what I need.

Any help?

They're not connected because they don't go together.

You didn't say what kind of Lowrance depth gauge you have, but my 6-pin looks identical. There is a pin for power, ground, dashlight, and I assume the rest from the transducer sending unit.

The only other option would be that there is an adapter, but I seriously doubt it. I assume someone replaced one of the parts, realized they don't match and left it like that for you.

The connector you hold in your hand goes to the Lowrance unit from the transducer. There should be an additional cable, that appears to come from the underbelly of the black box, and that cable would connect to the six pin connector at dash display. Hope this helps. Stephen

So, the transducer doesn't connect directly to the dash then? I'll have to take another look down there. Thanks for the help.
